How to enable or disable visitor arrival SMS notifications

Visitor arrival SMS notifications reach the host's phone when each host has a phone number in MyJoan and the visitor tablet asks for the Host field; available in eligible countries.

For SMS notifications to work in eligible countries, each host needs a phone number on their account.

Before you start

  1. Log in to MyJoan.
  2. Go to Settings > Account and click Edit.
  3. Check that a phone number is filled in for every user who will be a host.
  4. In Device Settings, click Add field and select Host.
  5. Tick Required on the Host field. If a visitor leaves Host empty, no SMS is sent.
