There are three levels of settings available in the [MyJoan](https://my.getjoan.com/):

- [Device-specific settings](/help/joan-devices/device-specific-settings)
- [Building-specific settings](/help/room-management/building-specific-settings)
- [Global settings](/help/joan-devices/device-settings-global)

These settings allow you to enable/disable certain features as well as adjust settings such as the preferred language, time format, etc.

- [Device-specific settings](/help/joan-devices/device-specific-settings) allow you to enable/disable features and adjust settings for a single device
- [Building-specific settings](/help/room-management/building-specific-settings) allow you to enable/disable features and adjust settings for all devices which are connected to rooms in that building
- [Global settings](/help/joan-devices/device-settings-global) allow you to enable/disable features and adjust settings for all devices and resources connected to your MyJoan account

In terms of the order of importance, device-specific settings will override both building-specific and global settings, while building-specific settings will only override the global settings.

If the device- and building-specific settings are not enabled, the global settings are used as the default option.
