## User Interface and Functionality

The most significant difference between the two models is the **interactive touchscreen** on the **Joan 13 Pro**. This feature fundamentally changes how you can interact with the device.

- **Joan 13:** This model has a non-touch display. Its primary function is to **display meeting information**, such as the current and upcoming meetings for a specific conference room, or multiple rooms. It provides a clear, at-a-glance overview of the room's schedule.

- **Joan 13 Pro:** With its responsive touchscreen, the Joan 13 Pro allows for a much more interactive experience. You can not only **view the meeting schedule** but also **book the room directly from the device**, check into meetings, and request services. It can also display a multi-room layout, giving you an overview of the availability of several rooms on the floor.

While both devices share the same 13.3-inch E-ink screen, the Joan 13 Pro is a more powerful device under the hood.

**Power and Connectivity:** The **Joan 13** is only powered by a **rechargeable battery** and connects to your network via Wi-Fi: **2.4 GHz** on devices made before 2021, **2.4 GHz and 5 GHz** on later devices. The **Joan 13 Pro**, on the other hand, can also be powered via [Power over Ethernet (PoE)](/help/joan-devices/poe-secure-wall-mount-for-joan-13-pro) and supports both **2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi**, as well as a wired **Ethernet** connection, offering more stable and versatile power and connectivity options.
